Learning tango


Tango lessons at Bramcote Memorial Hall, Church Street NG9 3HD are held on Wednesday evenings from 7.30pm to 9.30pm. The lessons are provided by the Northern Tango Academy run by Dante Culcuy, a leading professional dancer based in the UK, who brings in top quality teachers from Argentina for three to six months at a time. Lessons resume on 12 January 2022 with Dante leading them until new teachers from Argentina arrive in February. They are currently taking a summer break but hopefully will return in the autumn. 7.30pm to 8.30pm – All levels Technique and fundamentals for Tango, Milonga and Vals – this class can be done either solo or in couple.
8.30pm to 9.30pm – Tango class intermediate level. It is taught for couples whether fixed or changing partners
One class £10 per person.

About Diego and Giusy (previous teachers in Nottingham)
Diego Ledesma grew up in a family of Argentine folklore musicians and began his dancing career in performing folk dances of his home country and as been teaching and performing tango for over ten years.
Giusy Santoro has been teaching tango since 2009 and was a finalist in the salon category of the World Tango Championships in 2016 and won the Buenos Aies Metropolitan Championship in 2017. She loves the essence and elegance of traditional salon tango and her clear and generous teaching style focuses on the technical and body awareness.
